Still Life (Betamale) / Oneohtrix Point Never by Jon Rafman

Drawing images from a range of online fetish sites and engaging with the theme of obsessive desires, Jon Rafman presents the captivating and disturbing world of internet subcultures for Oneohtix Point Never. Already removed from Vimeo and Youtube for violating terms of services, the video’s low grade footage showcases images of decrepit computer systems, fetish anime art and characters posing for webcams, a few Furries, and more, bookended by clips of a man who looks like he’ll commit suicide. Oneohtix Point Never’s video was already premiered on 4chan, simple image-based bulletin board where anyone can post comments and share images, in October 2013 but we’re revisiting it to celebrate our interview with artist Jon Rafman in the latest issue of Purple Fashion magazine #21.
