MY LIFE IN JAPAN   The first time I went to Japan was in 1992 with Yoshiko, my girlfriend at the time whom I married in January 1994 in Kyoto. My parents came to the wedding, each with their new husband and wife. My sister came, too. But more about that some other time. I don’t know what I was expecting the first time I went to Japan.
