OLIVIER ZAHM — Purple’s Island issue is an allegory for today’s new possibilities. It’s obvious that we must change and adapt to today’s doomsday times. PHILIPPE STARCK — I’m in an especially good position to talk about insular life, insofar as it has been — and still is — my life’s own structure. I know the pros and cons. I never went to school. I fled from it, in fact. For me, school was society, and I’ve never understood the slightest thing about society and still don’t. I’ve always lived in almost total isolation, since childhood….
