OLIVIER ZAHM — Let’s start with a basic question. Do you like or dislike being seen as a digital artist? JON RAFMAN — I don’t like to get hung up on that question. Some colleagues of mine hate being pigeonholed into specific categories, but I don’t see any point in wasting my energy fighting labels. They simply make it easier for critics and journalists to write about your work. But “digital artist” definitely doesn’t capture what I’m trying to do in my work…
