INTERPERSONAL by RINEKE DIJKSTRA text by ALEPH MOLINARI Rineke Dijkstra’s latest exhibition offers a journey into her extensive archive, featuring unseen photographic works. These poignant images, revisiting her ’90s Beach Portrait series, shift the focus from individual identity to the dynamics of connection. The duos and groups depicted — mainly from beaches in Poland, Ukraine, and the United States — invite viewers to ponder the visible manifestations of human bonds. Dijkstra’s explorations of subtle resemblances, shared physical attitudes and gestures, illuminate the ways in which people forge their interrelational identity.
