Ugo Rondinone

mountains text by JEFF RIAN all artworks Copyright the artist and courtesy of Sadie Coles HQ, London Each piece in Ugo Rondinone’s Mountains series combines two to six hefty rocks, each painted a rainbow color and stacked one on top of another on a concrete base. In each densely powerful sculpture, the Swiss artist, now a New Yorker, conjures the iconicity of Brancusi’s totems from Warhol’s neon colors to make eye candy out of stone.
