Take a map of France. Look all the way south. Take a map of Africa and look all the way north. What’s the intersection? Marseille. We all pass through it, but never truly land there. Marseille is as exuberant as it is secretive — meaning that it brims with fertility, hidden only from those who don’t want to see it. Marseille is a tale unto itself.
