CAROLINE GAIMARI — I heard that you grew up in a magnificent castle in the English countryside.
BELLA HOWARD — I grew up with my mum and sister in North Yorkshire, on a farm at the Castle Howard estate, which was built by Vanbrugh in the 18^th century. The house appears in both film versions of Brideshead Revisited. It’s still run by the family. My parents divorced, but my dad still lives nearby — he grew up there. He was on the British Olympic luge team. My mum was a model in the early ’80s, and she was a tour manager for bands like Dire Straits and Gerry Rafferty.
