A Place In Mind
STEFANO PILATI, the Yves Saint Laurent designer, is a man obsessed by feminine beauty and the elegant glamour of a world gone by, a place in the mind where beauty is so absolute it becomes almost abstract. Sometimes nostalgic, sometimes playful.
Miniature clothes and accessories were fabricated especially for this shoot, which took place in a Paris apartment. The dolls portray the screen stars of his dreams—the diamonds, the perfect hair and make-up, the fantastically long legs, the camera, the action.
