This past winter Pamela Love and I took a road trip from Houston to Marfa and back. For five days we drove through the middle of nowhere in Texas. I drove and took pictures, sometimes at the same time, and Pam played music and navigated. We talked a lot. It was snowing in New York, but in Texas it was hot and dry and empty. Road trips always give me the feeling that nothing is set in stone. I think I could decide not to go back to my life, just keep driving, and never stop.
