photographed by MARTIEN MULDER One of the few Belgian models on the international fashion scene, Hannelore Knuts incarnates the creative and independent spirit of fashion. Hannelore has modeled for Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, Fendi, and Prada, but has still found time for young designers, while remaining faithful to the Belgian school of fashion, working with Dries Van Noten, Haider Ackermann, and Ann Demeulemeester. She never holds back, expressively revealing herself, while maintaining her lively sense of humor and innate understanding of the creative side of fashion — an inspiration for photographers from David Sims to Juergen Teller. Hannelore now lives in New York City and has entered the art world, curating the show UltraMegaLore, a fragmented self-portrait featuring a selection of artworks by Ugo Rondinone, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, and Elizabeth Peyton.
