“The Emerald Tablet” is a solo exhibition and curatorial project by Los-Angeles native Ariana Papademetropoulos. The exhibition explores the relation between set design and the occult being based on Dorothy’s quest to The Emerald City from Frank Baum’s “The Wizard of Oz”. The artists use imagery from the movie in order to link magic with cinematic mystique, to combine the hyperreal with the paranormal. The exhibition includes artists Isabelle Albuquerque, Gus Van Sant, Jim Shaw, Jill Mulleady, Raúl de Nieves and many more.
