Sarah Lucas’ always suggestive visuals are on full display at Gladstone Gallery. The latest solo exhibition from the British artist offers viewers a variety of objects which play with scale and materials while continuing the artist’s longstanding narrative involving sex, repression and confrontation. Large scale vegetable sculptures in phallic shapes are offset by large format photography against various walls. The often muted colors of the exhibition add a level of sophistication and cohesiveness to the lustful content. Nud Nob is on view through April 26th 2014 at Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
