The American artist, known for his minimal paintings, presents “Salmon Rivers of the Maritime Provinces”, an exhibition that evokes his memories of a fishing trip all while challenging the boundaries between art and architecture. No longer painting stripes, Stella instead chooses to translate his previous visual vocabulary into a tridimensional practice. Polychromic stripes become polished bold shapes, and the canvas emerges as a display unit from which the artworks hang.
On view now until May 7 2022 at Ceysson & Benetière, 13-15 Rue d’Arlon, 8399 Koerich, Luxembourg
