Ry Rocklen presents mirrored objects which merge images the artist took at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. My Metropolitan situates antiquities in the contemporary world while the mirrors incorporated into the work add a playful interactive dynamic. Rocklen starts with culturally accessible images and and transforms them into statements about the studio practice of an artist.
