The late Los Angeles artist Robert Graham‘s new show is on view now at Chelsea’s David Zwirner in a quiet and comprehensive exhibition. Starting in the 1960s, Graham combined Minimalist trends with his interest in the human form. Graham’s wax figures recall scenes of domestic pleasure and West Coast living which dominated popular magazines at the time. The attention to details in Graham’s figurative sculpture places his viewers as voyeurs to the scenes inside the plastic enclosures. On view through 10 December 2011 at David Zwirner, 525 West 19th Street, New York.
