In the context of the Venice Biennale 2022, Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery presents “Limbo,” an exhibition by Daniel Richter, curated by Eva Meyer-Herman, at the Ateneo Veneto Cultural Center.
Bringing together drawings, paintings and collages of the German artist, his large scale works feature contorted figures that make a direct appeal on the Ateneo Veneto: an institution that was once dedicated to bringing spiritual guidance to those who were sentenced to death now holds Richter’s figures that bend backwards waiting to ascend to heaven.
On view until september 25th 2022, at the Ateneo Veneto Museum, San Marco, 1897 Campo San Fantin, 30124 Venice
