KAWS’ towering wooden sculptures take over Mary Boone’s Chelsea location. The pair of sculptures are studies in the power of gesture and pose. Returning to his signature Companion character in this new format and context allows his character’s narrative to expand and adds further depth to the emotional language of KAWS’ practice. Pass The Blame is on view through December 21st 2013 at Mary Boone, 541 West 24th Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
