Artist DANIEL ARSHAM teamed up with Henry Street Settlement (HSS) – an institution opening opportunities for those from unprivileged backgrounds via social service or arts – to take a group of high schoolers from the HSS’ Abrons Art Center Engagement Program and Expanded Horizons initiative on a tour of his Long Island City studio, sharing the know-how of his artistic practice. The event served as an introduction to the art of photography as students played with Polaroid cameras which was exhibited at the first annual CINEMAtheque fundraiser at Henry Street.
