Gary Indiana’s exhibition at Participant uses photography and film to delve into the ego of sexuality and identity. The artist successfully brings order and narrative to seemingly unrelated imagery. Indiana’s work has an intimate cinematic character as he culls images captured over the past thirty years. Gristle Springs is on view through May 26th 2013 at Participant Inc, 253 East Houston, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
