Artist Christophe Brunnquell was on the first artistic director of Purple for a decade. Throughout thirty years, the artist frantically produced thousands of collages during his breaks while working at the French newspaper Le Figaro. He keeps them all in his Paris studio In 2022, his long-time friend Pascal Monfort offered him to choose 500 to publish a book: Ex Purple Ex Figaro. Published by REC trends marketing, its format pays homage to that of the famous Italian Vogue and its typography is inherited from the first issues of Purple magazine.
