During Salone del Mobile 2018, Cristaseya debuted an edition of hand-painted plates borne of the friendship between artist Jean-Philippe Sanfourche, otherwise known as JP, and the creative directors of Cristaseya. The first was a limited series of pitchers called the “JP jugs” that were showcased during London Craft Week in 2017.
650 unique plates were created with the idea of turning an everyday object into an expressive surface without sacrificing its usefulness. The restaurant Trattoria Toscana Torre di Pisa, a Milanese landmark in the Brera district, served all its courses on these special plates during the whole duration of the design week.
And now, the “Cristaseya x JP plates” are coming to Paris to be exhibited on May 23rd – 27th, 2018 at galeriepcp, 8 Rue Saint-Claude, Paris.
