Almine Rech Gallery is showing a series of new ambitious paintings by the artist duo Ida Tursic and Wilfried Mille. With an impressive technique, they dig into their personal obsession of massive desolate urban landscapes, sketches of abstract works, and vintage soft porn between Terry Rodgers and Richard Phillips. In this show, they combine pop with austerity to make their tour de force at the same time peremptory and indecisive. Come in Number 51 by Ida Tursic and Wilfried Mille runs until October 23rd at Almine Rech Gallery, 19 rue Saintonge, 75003, Paris. Text Pierre-Alexandre Mateos
