One view of Carlito Carvalhosa’s installation at Sonnabend Gallery. The work explores the way materials and objects can redefine the existing architecture of the gallery. Neon, wooden beams and glass force the viewer to interact with the space in a tentative and slow moving manner. The result is a sense of contemplation as though walking through a sacred space. Possibility Matters is on view through June 7th 2014 at Sonnabend, 536 West 22nd Street, New York. Photo and text Juliana Balestin
