Challenging the rigid confines of tradition with an unflinching gaze toward the digital age, Santana’s work dismantles the historical male gaze. Reconstructing representations of the female form through a uniquely layered oil painting technique that originates in digital fragmentation. Santana’s art thrives on the tension between corporeal identity and the hyper-mediated consumption of bodies online, reimagining what it means to depict, witness, and interpret femininity. The show navigates themes of transformation and agency, offering a bold reclamation of power and form.
